Haha, I know we talked about this a little, but I’m going to comment anyway 🙂
I really like your idea here, that idea that we may all all be “passing” not just online, but offline…or in this case, after death! I think the fact that you used the character death to represent “soul searching,” just emphasizes the point all the more and it makes me think just how much of me is “passing” in real life? I think in class, someone said that maybe we carry our avatars around with us, not just online, and that’s what your comic made me think of. I especially liked the fact that death tried out more than one “avatar,” especially since online some people play under several avatars, giving a personality or passing differently to/behind each one! Good job, especially since you only had three panels to work with! Maybe death can explain the inner workings of his/her/its mind to his/her/its frustrated friends 🙂

    Kalyn–
there are (@ least) two other multimedia projectsout there about “passing”–see both Ashley’s and Michelle’s. I’d be very interested to hear you guys have a conversation about this. As Mista Jay observes, above, you racheted this up several notches when you moved from the “identity crisis” of being male, or female, or just not paying attention, to being….
    dead.
I’d also be interested in hearing a little commentary, from the artist, about her cartoon…say something about what you were aiming for here?
